This web-site site has been developed to provide information for players, coaches, parents and other fans, past and present of this area and also to promote ERSDA throughout the world making new contacts, friendly relationships and partnerships with other clubs.

The association was established in 1995 with 23 teams and has grown over the last 23 years gaining a reputation for fair play and sportsmanship and for doing things the right way to develop players and keep them in the game as long as possible.
The small committee is made up entirely of volunteers and we could always use more help.  If you are interested in assisting us to continue to develop young players then please contact one of the committee.

If you are a local business and would like to make a contribution to the association, we would gladly place an advert on this website with links to your own site.  If you are a member (or parents, your child is a member) of ERSDA, we invite you to help us keep the site up-to-date with any news items of interest or if you would like to make any suggestions please email  ersdapresident@hotmail.co.uk.

Balloch Juveniles Set to Return to 11-A-Side Football — With Carson Legacy Steering the Rebirth

Balloch, August 2025 — After almost half a century out of competitive 11-a-side football, Balloch Juveniles Football Club is excited to announce that its 2013s team will make the club’s long-awaited return. Spearheading the revival is Joe Carson Jr., son of former Motherwell great Joe Carson, linking a cherished local football legacy with a bright future for the next generation.

From Legends to the Next Generation

The Balloch name has deep roots in Scottish football. Joe Carson Sr., formerly of Motherwell, Arbroath, and Partick Thistle, played over 425 league games between 1972 and 1988, and earned the affectionate nickname “Big Joe” for his towering presence on the pitch.

Now, Joe Carson Jr. is carrying that legacy forward, helping re-establish Balloch Juveniles with the ambition to reconnect local youth with competitive football.

Joe Carson Jr. says: “Balloch Juveniles were a force in the 60s, 70s and 80s, and we want to give young people the chance to wear the badge proudly again. For us, it’s about more than football — it’s about community, discipline, and giving the kids a pathway to develop.”

A Club Reborn, A Future in Play

Balloch Juveniles were once renowned fixtures in the local youth football scene, but faded from operation during the early 1980s. The club’s resurgence was recently supported by sponsors like Dawson-WAM, who celebrated the return of the Balloch badge and its potential to nurture young players anew. dawsonwam.co.uk

Adopting a modern approach, the club has assembled a coaching team of UEFA-licensed instructors, promotes an “all coach, no parent” policy, as the get set for a full return to 11-a-side competition. This return will mark Balloch’s re-entry into competitive football after nearly fifty years.

“Having my dad associated with the old Balloch Juveniles, and now being able to carry that into the next generation, means a lot,” says Carson Jr. “We’re proud of where we’ve come from—and even prouder of where we’re going.”

So when the whistle goes this season, it won’t just be another debut. It will be a hand-off between eras: from the Balloch sides that last played competitive 11s almost half a century ago to a new crop carrying the badge forward. The 2013s are not only playing for points — they’re playing for a place in the town’s sporting story.

2010 DIVISION TWO CHAMPIONSHIP

⚽ Title Race Heating Up in ERSDA 2010 Division Two

With just a few matchdays remaining in the ERSDA 2010 Division Two season, the title race has become a gripping three-way battle between St Mirren, Port White, and Renton Black. The table remains tight at the top, and every fixture could prove decisive in determining who will be crowned champions.

🥇 St Mirren: Leaders with Momentum

Currently leading the pack with 35 points from 15 games, St Mirren have demonstrated consistency and resilience throughout the campaign. Their disciplined defence and clinical finishing have helped them edge key fixtures, including a vital win over Renfrew FC and a hard-fought draw with Renton Black.

Their upcoming fixture against OLA on May 24th could be a potential banana skin—especially as OLA have frustrated several top-half teams this season.

🥈 Port White: Close Contenders with Firepower

Hot on St Mirren’s heels are Port White, just one point behind with 34 points. A strong attacking display has powered them through the season, with notable wins including a 5-1 victory over title rivals St Mirren and a gritty 2-1 triumph over Langcraigs in their first meeting.

They’ll face Langcraigs again on May 17th—a must-win game for Port White if they are to keep the pressure on St Mirren heading into the final stretch. Historically, Langcraigs have proven a stubborn opponent, so this fixture is set to be pivotal.

🥉 Renton Black: Dark Horses with a Fighting Chance

Sitting third with 31 points, Renton Black have quietly built a case as genuine title challengers. Despite a narrow defeat to Port White earlier in the season, they’ve bounced back with impressive wins over St Cadocs and Langcraigs. Their physical style and midfield dominance make them tough to beat.

They’ll be hoping the top two drop points while keeping their own momentum going in upcoming matches. Although slightly trailing, Renton Black still control their fate if they win out and results go their way.

🔮 What Lies Ahead?

With each of the top three playing crucial games in the next two weeks, here are the standout fixtures to watch:

OLA v St Mirren
Renton Red v St Mirren

Port Glasgow v Renfrew
Langcraigs v Port Glasgow

Renton Black v OLA
Langcraigs v Renton Black

With two of the top three teams still to play Langcraigs in the final two matches, Langcraigs could have a big say in the final outcome of the 2024/25 Ersda division Two championship!

As the ERSDA 2010 Division Two campaign nears its conclusion, the tension is palpable. Will St Mirren hold their nerve? Can Port White reclaim the top spot? Or will Renton Black snatch glory in the final weeks?

Stay tuned to ERSDA.uk for all the latest fixtures, results, and league updates.
