π― ERSDA Skills Assault Course (5-Station)

π Course Format:
- 5 technical skill stations
- Set up in a loop or line
- 1β2 minutes per station
- Repeat 2β3 rounds depending on age/energy
π Setup Instructions:
Place cones, balls, and any basic gear in a medium-sized area (half a pitch, garden, or school yard). Each station should be spaced out with room to move safely. Log how long you trained
β½ STATION 1: Zigzag Dribble
Goal: Improve ball control and balance
Setup: 5β6 cones in a zigzag pattern (2m apart)
Instructions:
- Dribble through the cones with both feet
- Focus on small touches and quick direction changes
πͺ§ Challenge: Go back through faster!
π¦Ά STATION 2: One-Foot Dribble
Goal: Develop confidence with each foot
Setup: Straight line of 3 cones, 3β5m long
Instructions:
- Dribble using only the right foot forward
- Return using only the left foot
πͺ§ Tip: Use the inside and outside of the foot
π STATION 3: Stop & Turn
Goal: Master close control & turning
Setup: 2 cones, 5m apart
Instructions:
- Dribble to cone 2
- Perform a turn (drag back, inside cut, etc.)
- Return to start β repeat 3 times
πͺ§ Challenge: Use a different turn each time
π§± STATION 4: Passing Wall
Goal: Passing accuracy and first touch
Setup: Ball + a rebound surface (wall/fence/partner)
Instructions:
- Pass to the wall, control the return
- Complete 10 clean passes in a row
πͺ§ Bonus: Alternate feet or one-touch pass if confident
π STATION 5: Quick Feet Cone Box
Goal: Fast footwork and close dribbling
Setup: 4 cones in a 2x2m square
Instructions:
- Dribble inside the box in a figure 8
- Use only small touches
- Keep the ball under control for 30 seconds

- Keep it light and praise effort over perfection
- Record how many clean passes, touches, or seconds controlled
- Let kids invent their own challenge after completing the course!
